Rajsthan

Image
Rajsthan - State of palaces and forts, state of sand dunes... Finally back from a short vacation in Rajasthan. An eventful trip indeed. This vacation has been a mixed experience - lot of sightseeing and lot of frustration too. All the forts and palaces were worth watching even though there is lot of similarity amongst them. The frustration was mostly because of the lack of service from Hotel/Restaurent staff. Will talk about that sometime later. Forts and Palaces Rajastan is full of various forts and palaces from Rajaput Era (15-16th century). Couple of them were in use till recent times. But most of them now serve just as evidence of our rich and multifaceted culture. Stone carving is heart of all these monuments. It seemed that most of them had lot of affection for chinese tiles as well. Even if they were looking out of place, I found them at quite a few places. The most surprising thing was the presence of mirros even in the 15-16th cetury - those guys have created wonders using the

Vacation time

It's vacation time ... I'll be off for whole of the next week. Visiting North India - Rajasthan. Bye .. :)

Going home early

I had never thought that giong home early would be so much fun. For last few days I am going home as soon as possible without lingering around in the company. There's so much I have realized. How fantastic my car speakers are. How much easy it is to drive home at 6:30 PM. How does my home look like at 7:00 PM and loads of other things. In addition to that it gives some time for myself - for reading, watching TV, playing some game, spending time with my niece etc. Over the period of time, I had lost all this fun. As if I had gone workoholic - no time for myself, for my people for anything other than work. It's good to break old habits. Isn't it?

Busy weekends

Recently I have observed that my weekends are busier than my weekdays. Isn't it surprising? Last two days were no different. Had to finish off lot of stuff. Just listing down the things that I did over the weekend: - Loan account problem - visit to one of the colleagues at Jehangir hospital to see her new born baby (he's so cute!) - shopping for diwali on Laxmi road - Paying a visit to site (It's getting in good shape now (Hurrah!) - Then a visit to shoppers' stop - visit to hospital (again!) to see mama - Then back to Laxmi road. (Hush... done) Instead of taking rest on weekends, it's turning out that I am getting exhausted over the weekend. However good thing is that I was fresh today morning - ready to take up the new work ...

Search for the name

Searching the blog name is really a tedious exercise. when I started to look for, obvious one was already gone - mandar.blogspot.com. Then it was time to look for some philosophical name - something like thatislife, thisislife etc etc. Then something in maraThi - again on life (why? dunno) but couldn't think of anything meaningful. I think I was more blocked on the relation between the blogname and the contents of the blog. I really don't know what am going to write here. So it was all the more difficult. Finally settled down on this name - mbehere. It could be generic enough to post anything here. So on your mark, get set ... go....
